Alton

Alton is a great place to live, work, and raise a family. Alton's 28,000 residents benefit from a cost of living below the national average and the protection of the Alton Police and Fire Departments. The Alton School District and several private and parochial schools provide a wonderful education to our children. Lewis and Clark Community College, Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, and the many colleges and universities in St. Louis make higher education accessible to residents of Alton. Large employers include the Alton School District, Alton Memorial Hospital, Alton Steel, Inc., American Water Company, Argosy Casino, Global Brass and Copper, Inc., Millers First Insurance Company, Olin Corporation, Riverbend Head Start & Community Services, and Saint Anthony's Health Center. A variety of locally owned small businesses are also located in Alton.

Bethalto

Perched upon the edge of the rolling Illinois prairie is the Village of Bethalto. Low green hills and picturesque farms frame this attractive community of nearly 10,000 residents, one of the three fastest-growing communities in Madison County. The peaceful setting and relaxed lifestyle make Bethalto an ideal place to raise a family. Yet, its close proximity to the rest of the St. Louis metropolitan area means that your family will never exhaust the tremendous variety of cultural opportunities and entertainment nearby. Bethalto is home to the St. Louis Regional Airport, a beautiful arboretum containing trees and plants from around the world, an extensive public library housing more than 30,000 volumes, a community senior citizens center, several parks – the largest of which is located on Culp Lane complete with a three-quarter-mile walking path, stocked fishing lake, children’s playground and pavilion and ample green space.

Carrollton

A small community rich in history, Carrollton is conveniently located between Springfield, Illinois and St. Louis, Missouri. The vision of Small Town, USA is one that comes into mind when you think of Carrollton. Members of the community enjoy local sporting events, concerts on the town square, and seasonal events put on by various organizations of the community. The historic Carrollton square surrounds a beautiful brown stone courthouse built in the 1800's and is filled by multiple shops and businesses intertwined with some of the best restaurants in Central-Southern Illinois. In addition, Carrollton's High School is nationally recognized and was awarded a bronze ranking, placing it along side of the best high schools in the country. We take pride in maintaining our historic past while we look toward the future. We are a small community where neighbors know each other and there is a front porch on nearly every home. We would love to have you join our close community and become a part of our Small Town, USA.
